Summertime is here and you know what that means, right? Cute and easy summer hairstyles! It’s no secret that I love having braids in my hair, so I thought I’d put together a little video on my favorite bohemian braids for this summer. My hair is a little bit past shoulder length, so these totally work for medium length hair. However, I also think these would look perfect on longer hair as well! Whatever you’re doing this summer, braided hairstyles are perfect because they’re heatless hairstyles you can wear to the beach or the pool - but they’re still put together enough for going out (I think). I hope you enjoy these braided hairstyle ideas and that you try out these summer hairstyles for medium length hair (or longer)!
// INSTRUCTIONS //
ONE - Braided Bun
Start with second day, detangled hair.
Start a french braid at ear length.
Braid until you have no more hair and secure with an elastic.
Once you’re finished, tuck the end of your braid underneath and pin until secure.
Pull out face-framing pieces to finish.
TWO - Side Dutch Braid
With a deep side part, start a dutch braid at the front of your face, along where your bangs should be.
Braid until you reach the end of that piece and secure with an elastic.
Loosen the braid to finish.
THREE - Fishtail Pigtails
With a middle part, secure one side.
Starting with the “free side,” divide one side into two sections and start a fishtail braid.
Braid until you reach the end and secure with an elastic.
Repeat with the other side.
